Our Story

From the steward of Elarah leathers-

Elarah Leathers was born from a deep desire to create something beautiful with purpose at its core. From a young age, there was always a love for creating, for working with hands, for bringing beauty into the world. But alongside that creativity was something else- a tender awareness of people in need, and a longing to help, even when there was no clear way how.
Starting this business was a dream, but not one that could be built alone. Without the technical skill of sewing, what began as a vision quickly became something far greater through the women who now form the heart of Elarah.

The Journey:
Elarah's story starts with some foster mamas in Ikageng, caring for vulnerable kids in their community. These ladies are artisans and mothers, loving their families and bringing beautiful things to life in our little workshop! 

Located in Potchefstroom, Elarah Leathers was previously known as Made by Mosaic, which was born from the need to provide a sustainable income for the foster moms caring for children through Mosaic NPC. Now under new management, we are thrilled to be a part of this story by providing a creative platform and growing opportunities for women who carry communities on their shoulders!

We are inspired by the way women like our ladies take ordinary life - the small joys, the chaos, the hardships - and make it beautiful for those around them. Our products are made to reflect the creativity of womanhood, combining hand-crafted quality with a little feminine quirk to create items that compliment your unique style.
